Khoi's Minecraft Server

Server Rules

These rules exist to keep the server fair, enjoyable, and welcoming for everyone. By playing on the server, you agree to follow these rules. Not every possible situation can be listed individually, so the rules should be interpreted according to their intended purpose.

1. Respect Other Players

Treat other players with respect.

Do not harass, bully, threaten, or deliberately target other players.

Do not intentionally provoke or repeatedly annoy another player.

Do not encourage other players to harass or target someone.

Do not discriminate against or attack players based on personal characteristics.

Resolve disagreements peacefully or contact staff if necessary.

02

2. No Griefing

Griefing is any intentional action intended to damage, destroy, obstruct, or otherwise negatively affect another player's property or gameplay. Accidental damage is not automatically considered griefing, but it should be repaired when reasonably possible.

Destroying or modifying another player's builds without permission.

Breaking or damaging farms, redstone, infrastructure, or other player-made structures.

Placing blocks or other objects specifically to obstruct someone's property.

Pouring lava or water to damage or obstruct another player's builds.

Destroying the area surrounding someone's base with the intention of causing harm or inconvenience.

Deliberately damaging roads, public builds, or community infrastructure.

Destroying items or property belonging to another player.

03

3. No Stealing

Do not take items belonging to another player without permission.

This includes items stored in chests, barrels, shulker boxes, furnaces, farms, villagers, or other storage systems.

Do not take items from someone's base simply because they are not currently online.

Do not hide, move, or destroy another player's items.

Returning stolen items does not necessarily remove the violation.

04

4. PvP

Do not attack, kill, trap, or otherwise intentionally harm another player without their consent.

PvP is permitted when all participating players agree to it.

Do not repeatedly kill a player who does not wish to participate in PvP.

Do not use PvP to prevent someone from accessing their base, items, or resources.

Do not use traps or game mechanics to force another player into unwanted PvP.

Accidental damage during legitimate gameplay is not automatically considered intentional PvP.

05

5. Threats, Retaliation, and Intent

Threatening to break a rule can itself be a rule violation.

Do not threaten to grief, steal from, attack, kill, or otherwise harm another player or their property.

Threats may be punished even if the threatened action is never carried out.

Planning or attempting to carry out a rule violation may result in punishment.

Encouraging, assisting, or organizing another player to break the rules is prohibited.

Do not retaliate against another player by breaking the rules.

“They did it first” is not an excuse.

Report incidents to staff instead of taking revenge.

06

6. Indirect Rule Violations

You cannot avoid a rule by getting another player, mob, entity, or mechanism to perform the prohibited action for you. If you intentionally cause something to happen that would violate the rules if you performed it directly, you may still be held responsible. The fact that you did not personally break the block does not make intentional griefing acceptable.

Getting another player to grief a base on your behalf.

Setting up TNT to deliberately destroy someone's property.

Using a mob to destroy another player's build.

Using a Wither to bypass a protected area.

Creating a mechanism that deliberately damages another player's property.

Luring hostile mobs toward someone's base and allowing them to cause the damage.

07

7. Mob Abuse

Do not intentionally use mobs or entities to damage, obstruct, or interfere with another player's property or gameplay. Normal mob gameplay is allowed — fighting a creeper near your own base or transporting animals to your own farm is perfectly fine. Accidentally allowing a mob to wander into someone's property is not automatically a violation. Deliberately putting it there is.

Luring creepers toward another player's base.

Using charged creepers to destroy another player's builds.

Leading hostile mobs into someone's base.

Releasing mobs into another player's farms or storage areas to cause damage.

Using Withers to destroy another player's property.

Intentionally directing mobs toward another player's property.

Using mobs to bypass claims or protection systems.

Using large numbers of mobs to deliberately cause lag or disruption.

Using mobs to repeatedly attack, trap, or obstruct another player without their consent.

08

8. Withers and Other Destructive Mechanics

Withers, TNT, End Crystals, and similar mechanics are allowed for legitimate gameplay, but may not be used to grief. Legitimate activities such as fighting a Wither or using TNT for mining are allowed when they do not violate other rules.

Do not spawn a Wither with the intention of damaging another player's property.

Do not lure or direct a Wither toward another player's base.

Do not spawn a Wither inside or near another player's property without permission.

Do not use TNT, End Crystals, or other destructive mechanics to damage another player's property.

Do not use destructive mechanics to bypass claims or protection systems.

Do not intentionally create destructive setups that are triggered later to damage another player's property.

Staff may require particularly destructive activities to take place in designated areas.

09

9. Cheating and Unfair Advantages

Do not use hacked clients or cheats to gain an unfair advantage.

Do not use X-ray or similar tools to gain information you would not normally have.

Do not use combat, movement, or automation cheats.

Do not intentionally abuse duplication glitches.

Do not exploit bugs to gain items, bypass restrictions, or gain an unfair advantage.

If you discover a serious exploit, report it to staff rather than abusing it.

Cosmetic and performance modifications are allowed as long as they do not provide an unfair advantage.

10

10. Lag and Server Performance

Do not intentionally create lag machines.

Do not intentionally attempt to crash or overload the server.

Do not create excessive numbers of entities, redstone clocks, minecarts, or other systems specifically to cause lag.

Large farms and machines are allowed unless they have a significant negative impact on server performance.

Staff may require resource-intensive farms or machines to be reduced, disabled, or redesigned.

Deliberately crashing the server is a serious violation.

11

11. Respect Builds and Property

Do not build inside another player's base or build without permission.

Do not unnecessarily build extremely close to another player's base.

Do not obstruct another player's access to their property.

Do not modify another player's build without permission.

Do not claim or occupy another player's established building area.

If you are unsure whether an area is available, ask before building.

12

12. Keep the World Clean

Replant trees when harvesting them, especially in shared areas.

Do not leave floating trees unnecessarily.

Clean up temporary structures when finished.

Do not leave unnecessary towers, dirt pillars, holes, or abandoned construction around populated areas.

Avoid unnecessary destruction of the natural environment.

Large-scale projects should be planned so that they do not unnecessarily interfere with other players.

13

13. Chat and Communication

Do not spam chat.

Do not flood chat with repeated messages or commands.

Do not intentionally disrupt conversations.

Do not impersonate another player or staff member.

Do not use chat to organize harassment or targeted attacks.

Keep chat reasonably appropriate for the server community.

14

14. Advertising

Do not advertise other Minecraft servers without permission.

Do not repeatedly advertise unrelated websites, Discord servers, communities, or services.

Staff may permit relevant community or project announcements.

15

15. Usernames, Skins, and Cosmetics

Do not use usernames intended to impersonate staff or another player.

Do not use usernames, skins, or other cosmetics specifically intended to harass or intimidate another player.

Do not deliberately use cosmetic content to bypass moderation.

Staff may require inappropriate or misleading usernames or cosmetics to be changed.

16

16. Claims and Protected Areas

Do not bypass or exploit the server's protection or claiming systems.

Do not intentionally interfere with another player's protected area.

Do not attempt to access or modify areas you are not authorized to use.

Do not use mobs, TNT, glitches, or other mechanics to bypass protection.

Report problems with protection systems to staff instead of attempting to work around them.

17

17. Commands and Permissions

Do not abuse commands or permissions.

Do not attempt to obtain permissions you have not been given.

Do not exploit command or plugin bugs.

Do not use administrative commands to interfere with another player's gameplay unless authorized.

Do not share restricted permissions or administrative access with unauthorized players.

18

18. Automation and AFK Gameplay

Automated farms are allowed unless they cause excessive server performance issues.

Do not use automation to bypass server restrictions.

Do not use automated methods to gain an unfair advantage.

AFK setups must not intentionally cause excessive lag or interfere with other players.

Staff may restrict particularly resource-intensive automated systems.

19

19. Alternate Accounts

Do not use alternate accounts to bypass bans or other punishments.

Do not use alternate accounts to gain an unfair advantage.

Do not use alternate accounts to evade restrictions.

Staff may restrict additional accounts if they negatively affect the server.

20

20. Scamming and Deception

Do not intentionally deceive players into giving you valuable items through fraudulent trades or agreements.

Do not abuse another player's trust to gain access to their property and then steal from or damage it.

Do not manipulate new or inexperienced players into breaking rules for you.

Deliberately fraudulent trades may be punished at staff discretion.

21

21. Staff and Moderation

Follow reasonable instructions given by staff.

Do not intentionally interfere with staff investigations.

Do not impersonate staff.

Do not attempt to hide evidence of rule violations.

Do not encourage players to ignore staff instructions.

If you disagree with a moderation decision, discuss it privately with staff rather than disrupting the server.

22

22. Reporting Violations

If you see a serious rule violation, staff will investigate reports and determine the appropriate action.

Report it to staff.

Provide screenshots, recordings, coordinates, usernames, timestamps, or other evidence when possible.

Do not retaliate against the player.

Do not attempt to punish the player yourself.

Do not fabricate evidence or knowingly make false accusations.

23

23. Circumventing the Rules

Do not intentionally exploit loopholes in these rules.

Do not perform prohibited actions indirectly through another player, mob, entity, command, mechanism, or automated system.

Do not attempt to evade punishments or restrictions.

Do not deliberately exploit wording in the rules to accomplish something that clearly violates their intended purpose.

Staff may take action against behavior that is clearly harmful to the server even if the exact behavior is not explicitly listed.

24

24. Punishments

Punishments depend on the severity and circumstances of the violation. Severe violations may result in an immediate ban without a prior warning. Repeated violations may result in increasingly severe punishments. When determining a punishment, staff may consider severity, intent, damage caused, whether the violation was repeated, previous punishments, cooperation with staff, and whether the player attempted to repair or undo the damage. Honest mistakes are treated differently from deliberate violations.

Warning

Official warning or notice

Removal of illegitimate items or advantages

Restoration or rollback of damaged areas

Temporary restrictions

Temporary ban

Permanent ban

25

25. Common Sense Rule

Not every possible situation can be covered by a list of rules.

If something is clearly intended to damage the server, ruin another player's experience, gain an unfair advantage, or circumvent the rules, do not do it simply because you found a technical loophole.

If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask staff before doing it.
