Terms of Service and Player Rules

1. Acceptance of Terms

You must read, understand, and agree to these Terms of Service and Player Rules (“these Terms”) before accessing, connecting to, or using Khoi's Minecraft Server and its related services (Java, Bedrock, and Education Edition via Geyser/Floodgate).

By connecting to the server, joining the world, creating or using an account, entering a verification code, or continuing to use the server, you are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted all provisions of these Terms.

You may not avoid responsibility for violating these Terms by claiming that you did not read, notice, understand, or know about them, or that another person operated your account on your behalf.

2. Compliance with Server Rules

All players must comply with the Server Rules published at https://khoichon.dev/mcserver/rules.html, covering respect for other players, griefing, stealing, PvP, mob and mechanic abuse, claims, chat conduct, and related topics.

The Server Rules are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where the Server Rules and these Terms impose different requirements concerning the same conduct, the stricter requirement applies.

These Terms set out the legal and procedural framework — verification, enforcement, appeals, and account responsibility — while the Server Rules describe day-to-day expected behavior in detail.

3. Fair Play and Anti-Cheat

Cheating, hacking, exploitation, and any other conduct that undermines a fair gameplay environment are prohibited.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to: using hacked clients, X-ray, combat/movement/automation cheats, or other unauthorized third-party software; modifying game files, network traffic, or server communications to gain an unfair advantage or evade detection; exploiting bugs, duplication glitches, or vulnerabilities in the server, plugins, or game mechanics; bypassing or disabling anti-cheat, verification, or ban systems; and creating, distributing, or promoting cheats intended for use on this server.

Conduct may be treated as a violation regardless of whether the attempt succeeded, was discovered, or caused actual damage.

4. Player Conduct and Community Order

Players must respect other players and staff, and must not engage in conduct that harms server security, community order, or the normal gameplay experience of others.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to: harassing, threatening, insulting, or discriminating against another player; posting hateful, explicit, illegal, or severely disturbing content; disclosing or threatening to disclose another person's private information; impersonating khoichon, staff, or another player; spam, malicious advertisements, or phishing links; and maliciously fabricating reports or evidence against another player.

Refusal to cooperate with reasonable staff requests made while investigating a violation or maintaining server order is itself a violation.

5. Investigations and Evidence

To investigate violations, protect players, and maintain server security, staff may reasonably collect, retain, and review information related to the server, including chat logs, server and plugin logs, login and connection records, screenshots, recordings, and evidence submitted by players or staff.

Staff may determine whether a violation occurred based on technical detection results, logs, behavioral patterns, reports, and player statements.

To protect detection methods, reporter privacy, and server security, staff are not required to disclose all evidence, internal logs, or the identity of a reporter to a punished player.

6. Enforcement and Punishments

Punishments depend on the severity and circumstances of the violation and may include a warning, removal of illegitimate items or advantages, restoration or rollback of damaged areas, temporary restrictions, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban, as described in the Server Rules.

Any confirmed form of cheating, serious griefing, repeated violations, attacks against the server, or ban evasion may result in an immediate ban without a prior warning.

Staff may impose enforcement action without prior notice or an opportunity to correct the conduct, though minor first-time issues will typically be addressed with a warning at staff's discretion.

7. Ban Evasion and Alternate Accounts

After being banned or restricted, a player must not evade, bypass, or weaken the effect of that action by any means, including creating or using another account, borrowing or using another person's account, or asking another person to access the server on their behalf.

Ban evasion is a separate violation. Associated accounts may be banned, and an existing temporary ban may be extended or converted into a permanent ban.

Alternate accounts may not be used to bypass restrictions, gain an unfair advantage, or evade server limits, even absent an existing ban.

8. Ban Appeals

If you believe a ban was issued in error, you may submit an appeal through the official Discord published by Khoi's Minecraft Server.

An appeal must be submitted within fourteen calendar days from the date you first see the ban notice, and should include your account/player name, an explanation of the relevant events, and any supporting evidence.

Appeals submitted after the deadline, containing false information, or submitted by an unrelated third party may be rejected without further review. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee a ban will be removed and does not automatically suspend enforcement.

9. Nature and Availability of the Service

Khoi's Minecraft Server is an independently operated community server. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or their affiliates.

The server is not guaranteed to operate continuously, reliably, or without error. Player data, builds, inventories, and other server data may be lost, damaged, rolled back, or reset due to maintenance, technical failure, or other reasons.

The server may be suspended, modified, restricted, or discontinued at any time due to maintenance, security incidents, game updates, or other operational reasons. Downtime, data loss, or service termination does not by itself create a basis for compensation, except where required by applicable law.

10. Account Use, Security, and Responsibility

Players must properly protect their accounts, login credentials, devices, and network environments, and are responsible for all conduct carried out through their accounts.

Players must not sell, rent, lend, share, or otherwise provide their accounts to another person, or allow another person to use their account to access the server, commit violations, or evade a ban.

Conduct occurring through a player's account is generally treated as conduct performed by that player. Claims that an account was shared, borrowed, or operated by someone else do not automatically exempt a player from responsibility, though staff may consider genuine, verifiable evidence at their discretion when reviewing a case.

11. General Provisions

khoichon may modify these Terms or the Server Rules based on server operations, security needs, or community circumstances. Updated Terms take effect upon publication through the official website or Discord, and continued use of the server after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be adjusted or cease to apply only to the extent necessary, without affecting the remaining provisions.

These Terms cannot list every possible form of prohibited conduct. Staff may determine that conduct not expressly listed constitutes a violation where it clearly harms fair gameplay, server security, or community order. To the extent permitted by applicable law, final authority to interpret and enforce these Terms belongs to khoichon.

12. Player Acknowledgment

By completing verification, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and understood these Terms and the Server Rules, and agree to comply with both.

You understand that confirmed cheating or other violations may result in a warning, restriction, temporary ban, or permanent ban, and that a ban appeal must be submitted within fourteen calendar days of first seeing the ban notice.

You understand that you are generally responsible for conduct occurring through your account, and that account sharing, alleged unauthorized use, or similar claims do not automatically exempt you from responsibility.

You accept enforcement and appeal decisions made by staff under these Terms.
